LibreCAD v2.1.1 Portable | 26.0 Mb

This is the portable edition of LibreCAD - a simple-to-use program that provides a few tools for helping you create CAD drawings. Since installation is not a requirement, you can extract the program files to any location on the hard disk and just click the executable to run. It is also possible to save Portable LibreCAD to a pen drive or similar removable device, in order to run it on any machine with minimum effort.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no additional files are created on the HDD without your consent.

At initialization you can specify the default measurement unit, GUI and command language. The interface resembles the one of other CAD products, such as AutoCAD, with the difference being that Portable LibreCAD is simpler to learn, especially when experience is minimal.

So, you can draw points, lines, arcs, circles, ellipses, splines and polylines, insert text, dimensions and images, create hatches and blocks, modify object settings (e.g. rotate, mirror, trim) and view information, as well as use selection tools.

It is possible to zoom in and out, type command blocks, undo and redo your actions, enable snapping (e.g. free, grid, endpoints, on entity, center), and manage layers, just to name a few. Projects can be saved to file for further modifications, as well as exported to BMP, JPG, PNG, PPM, TIF, XBM or XPM. Unfortunately, there is no help documentation available.

Portable LibreCAD has a good response time and runs on moderate CPU and RAM. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. We have not come across any difficulties. All in all, Portable LibreCAD supplies users with intuitive options when it comes to creating CAD files, and it should please the entire audience.

New in version 2.1.1 (June 26, 2016)
Bugs eliminated:
* draft mode was not set for new/opened drawings
* performance did not improve when zooming into an area
* certain polylines were not rendered properly
* opening a file did't restore the layer's construction state
* the cursor was hidden for 'polyline from existing'
* closing an inactive tab cleared the layer list
* wouldn't build with Qt4
